Violet Roots Magazine: Spring 2017
These seasons are really just whizzing by. I’d like to hit the pause button, just sit right here with the Violet Roots Magazine: Spring 2017 issue and just coast here for a while. The summer is fast approaching and with that a big BIG move for me. I’m kind of going kicking and screaming but with so little time left here in the NYC area, it’s time to come to grips with reality. I’m moving and those boxes aren’t going to pack themselves.
When Spring settles in we all tend to turn to new beginnings with a warm embrace. I’m not the best at accepting change but I do plan to make the most of my new surroundings. If you’re from the DC area or know a few spots I should check out feel free to drop a line in the comments below!
Until my move is officially underway I plan to soak up as much time with friends, family and the city that I love as I can. I left NYC for four years when I journeyed upstate to Ithaca but that was an entirely different scenario. Back then it was for college and now it’s for love.
Although I don’t really have much control over where my partner’s career will take us, I do have control over how I choose to react to it. Being with him isn’t always easy but this opportunity is one that we simply can’t give up. So, even though it’s in my nature to be a bit dramatic and string together several verbose sentences about how the sky is falling, I know deep down that all will be well. Violet Roots will still be here, I’ll still be here, and Game of Thrones will have finally returned to my Sunday nights!
Really though Game of Thrones always makes everything better.
Ok, enough about all the upcoming summertime changes! Let’s dive right into Violet Roots Magazine: Spring 2017. Share the magazine with your friends and see what else you can look forward to this season.
Posts this Spring + What to Expect
This Spring I shared a few opinion pieces about how to not be a passive fan and a few buzzwords that could use a breather. Of course, you’re more than welcome to disagree with me. We can still be friends regardless. EVEN if you insist on still saying #girlboss. Hah. I also let you in on my process on email course creation and gave you a few suggestions that are bound to get your customers all warm and fuzzy.
So what else is left? Well, I’m going to walk down memory lane with you! In an upcoming post I’m going to give you all the deets on the best concerts I attended before I started blogging. I’ll also give a highly anticipated album my ‘1st Listen’ treatment and we’ll slay some common creative criticisms. There’s, even more, to look forward to but you’ll just have to keep checking back to see what I’ve got up my sleeve. While you wait, check out some of the best content from this Spring below!
