Celebrate a little early with this Labor Day weekend playlist!
Labor Day may signal the end of summer to some but to me it’s just another excuse to go out and have a good time. I know that for a lot of people summer is the pinnacle of the year and so the end of it leaves a lot of glum faces behind. When I was putting together this Labor Day Weekend playlist I wasn’t thinking about it in terms of that “last hurrah” swan-song sort of vibe that a lot of other people go for. Even if it’s the unofficial end of summer I thought of it more or less as a continuation of the party rather than it’s last call. After all, even though perpetual sunshine might be nice it isn’t a prerequisite for fun.
Fall can be just as much, if not more, fun and with cooler temperatures also comes all those end of the year holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! I might be slightly biased towards this time of the year since my birthday is coming up. Still, I’m looking forward to pulling out my sweaters and buying a new pair of boots.
Summer 2015 has been fun, I certainly won’t forget my surprise trip to Miami or those fun beach days but I’m ready for a change of pace. I have a few exciting things to share with you all before the summer officially ends later on in September and until that time I’ll try to check off a few more items on my summer bucket list.
For those of you in the states, I hope you all have fun plans for your holiday weekend! I’ll be celebrating early with this Labor Day weekend playlist and If you’d like more songs to groove to check out last weeks picks here and even more songs here.
