Want romance in your music playlist?
I do! I think all the shopping I’ve been doing for my friend’s wedding (that is only a few days away!) has me in a bit of a mushy mood. I struggled and procrastinated to find a dress to wear to her wedding and almost pulled my hair out during the process but I think I found a winner. You see, I’m not only picky when it comes to food. The same mentality could easily be applied to the clothes I wear too. Thankfully the heavens opened up and it was Free People to the rescue! I’ll make sure to share with you guys how the wedding went and what I end up wearing in a future post!
Last week I shared songs by some of my favorite male artist and this week I unintentionally did the same. You can also discover another music playlist here and here. This week, as a bonus, I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a London-based artist by the name of Kadeem Tyrell. Kadeem was brought to my attention recently by his representatives and his new track, “Everything”, fit seamlessly into my current romance driven state of mind. His voice is smooth and the lyrics are catchy without being overly cheesy or gimmicky which is sometimes all too common in the love song department. This particular track takes more of a traditional soulful approach but Kadeem also offers EDM-infused R&B songs that are well worth a listen if you like genre mixes. You can connect with him on Twitter: @Kadeem_Tyrell or check out his other music here.
For this round of picks keep in mind that some of the songs featured in this music playlist are relatively new, some are old and from varying music styles. This week scroll on down and give your ears a bit of bliss in the form of Kadeem Tyrell, Caught A Ghost, Mikky Ekko, BØRNS and Wilkinson.
Feeling the romance? Share what you think of this music playlist and next week expect concert highlights from Meg Myers at Webster Hall followed by FKA Twigs, BANKS, St. Lucia and other weekly Music Monday picks!
